Ingredients
8 slices bacon
1 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup finely chopped green pepper
1 one pound can tomatoes
1/2 cup water
3/4 cup uncooked white rice
1/2 cup chili sauce
dash pepper
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
Brown bacon until crisp (set aside) ; remove half the fat. In remaining fat cook onion and green pepper until tender but not brown. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer 45 minutes. Remove from heat and add crumbled bacon on top. Just prior to serving you can stir in the bacon for more uniform serving and taste.
