My oldest son, Ricky, loved this casserole even though he did not like broccoli. Kids just like anything with cheese.
BROCCOLI, CHEESE, AND RICE CASSEROLE
Ingredients:
2 c. uncooked Minute rice
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. chopped celery
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 box frozen chopped broccoli
1 (8 oz.) jar Cheese Whiz (If you want extra zip use mild Mexican Cheese Whiz)
Directions
- Saute onions and celery in butter in a large saucepan.
- Cook broccoli according to package and drain.
- Add soup, cheese, and rice; stir until heated.
- Pour into a greased baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
- Yield: 6 servings.
