These make a fantastic presentation. You will get a rave review for a simple dessert.
Mini Cream Cheese Tarts
Ingredients
- Phyllo shells - found in freezer section by pie shells
- Semi-sweet baking chocolate - enough to dip shells
- 8 oz. cream cheese - softened
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 t. vanilla
- Melt chocolate in microwave (stir after every 20 seconds. (Be careful not to burn, once it curdles it is ruined beyond repair.)
- Dip shells in chocolate and allow to harden.
- Beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until well blended. Place mixture in a gallon Ziploc bag (snip the corner) and squeeze cream cheese mixture into the shells.
- Top with fruit such as raspberries, strawberries, kiwi slice, chocolate kiss, or whatever you would like.
- Yield 30 tarts
