This is a favorite family recipe of my friend, Anne Marie. I haven't tried it yet but with this hot weather I am looking forward to trying it soon... In the 90's all this week.
Lemon Lush
Dessert
(Note: you use cool
whip in two different layers of this dessert. Also, it takes a little time since each layer has to cool.)
Crust:
Mix the following
together and press into a 9x13 pan
2 sticks of
butter
½ c
sugar
2 c
flour
½ teaspoon baking
powder
1 ½ c finely chopped
pecans
Bake at 375 for 20 to
20 min or until golden brown
When cool add this
mixture
8 ox.
Softened c ream
cheese
1 c confectioner’s
sugar
8 oz cool
whip
Topping
Combine and let thicken
3 pkgs instant lemon
pie filling
Zest of 2
lemons (optional)
4 ½ cups
milk
Pour over cream cheese
layer
Refrigerate
