Ingredients
    For the Crust
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • For the Filling
  • 1 1/2 cups Musselman’s Apple Butter (about 12 ounces)
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • For the Topping
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°. Line a 9x13” pan with foil and spray with cooking spray.
  2. Make the crust: add butter, flour, and sugar to a large bowl. Mix with a hand mixer until it becomes crumbly. (You may need to use your fingers to break up any larger chunks of butter.) Press into the bottom of the prepared pan. Bake for 15 minutes.
  3. While the crust is baking, prepare the topping. Add all ingredients to the large bowl and mix with a hand mixer until crumbly, (again you may need to use your fingers to break up any large chunks of butter).
  4. After 15 minutes, remove crust from the oven. Spread the apple butter over the crust in an even layer. Sprinkle with walnuts. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the filling and press gently to compact. Bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, until topping starts to turn golden.
  5. Cool completely before removing from pan. Cut into squares.
