Strawberry Pretzel Jello Salad

Ingredients
  • 2 cups crushed pretzel sticks
  • 3/4 cup melted butter
  • 3 T. sugar
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 8 oz. Cool Whip or Cool Whip Lite
  • 2 small packages strawberry jello
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 10 oz packages frozen strawberries
Directions
  • Construct 3 layers as follows:
  • Mix pretzels, melted butter and sugar, press into a 9x9 baking dish.  Bake at 400 degrees 8 minutes.  Allow to cool
  • In a bowl combine cream cheese, sugar and cool whip. Pour over cooled pretzel mixture.
  • In a bowl dissolve jello in boiling water, add strawberries.  Slightly cool until slightly thickened and pour over cream cheese layer
  • Refrigerate.
