Cowboy Candy

This is so great Nancy made some for the P.E.O. Auction and it sold for $20 a jar!  HOT stuff.

Cowboy Candy 

  • 1 jar sliced jalapeño peppers, pour off juice into a measuring cup. 
  • Whatever that measuring cup shows, add that amount of sugar to the pepper jar. (You are going to throw that juice away) 
  •  Shake
  • Put in frig. upside down to get to mix and dissolve. It will make its own "juice" again. 
  • Keep refrigerated, it can be used after a couple weeks. 
  • NOTE:   At Christmas I add some bits of cooked sweet red pepper for the color.
