Craberry/Pineapple Jello Salad

Note from Ruth: This is a great holiday salad that I am asked to bring at both Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners.
I usually double this recipe because everyone wants leftovers. I also save a step and just make it in the serving bowl.

Ingredients

1 package (6 oz) cherry jello (sugar free can be substituted)
1.5 C boiling water
1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple with juice
1 can (16 oz) whole-berry cranberry sauce
1.5 C seedless red grapes, halved
1/4 C chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Directions
In a large bowl, dissolve jello in water. Stir in cranberry sauce and pineapple. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Stir in grapes and nuts. Pour into a 2-qt serving bowl. Refrigerate until firm.
