Pound Cake

This is another 52-year-old recipe that my family loves.  We serve it with fruit:  strawberries or blueberries or peaches.  Top with whipped cream.  Delicious!

Cream together: 
1 cup butter, softened
3 cups sugar
6 eggs

Sift together:
3 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
¼ tsp. soda

Add: 
2 tsps. vanilla
1 tsp. coconut flavoring
½ pint sour cream
 
To the butter and sugar mixture, add eggs one at a time.  Add flavorings and dry ingredients alternately with the sour cream. 

Place in lightly greased bundt pan (or 9 x 13 cake pan) and bake at 325 degrees for one to one and one-half hours.
